The hilarity of Paris, Eiffel, and river Seine

This is a video footage that I recorded in Paris, in the summer of 2008. Displaying some places in Paris, The Trocadéro (Palais de Chaillot) , Eiffel tower and the atmosphere inside the Batobus ( derived from the French’s word ‘bateaux’, a sightseeing boat trip ), that sailing on the river Seine in the inner city of Paris. Then I added on the video a wispy kind of music that created by my friend Danive. And it’s reveals to you that Paris is so beautiful.

And this is a video across the street around Le Bon Marche, Paris.

Live Curious - National Geographic Channel's TV Commercial

I really like this “National Geographic Channel’s TV Commercial (Ad)” – Live Curious. I often watch it on TV at home, it’s seems like this Ad reading my mind and I really love it. A very evocative visuals and it shows to us how amazing and wonderful to live in experience, exploration, pioneering, and questioning for knowledge.

Also a great thanks to the copywriter who has found and raises these words on the Ad :

If you are, you breath.
If you breath, you talk.
If you talk, you ask.
If you ask,
 you think.
If you think, you search.
If you search, you experience.
If you experience, you learn.
If you learn, you grow.
If you grow, you wish.
If you wish, you find.
If you find, you doubt.
If you doubt, you question.
If you question, you understand.
If you understand, you know.

If you know, you want to know more…
And if you want to know more, you are alive.

Sunday Jazz @ Potluck

Today’s evening I came by to Potluck café when the drizzle has subside. To get some relax and enjoy a cup of warm coffee with cream. This evening, the café was crowded and so joyful because there was a jazz music performance at the café’s backyard. This jazz performance is a routine event which initiated by “Klab Jazz” and collaborate with Potluck Café.

I sat down on a chair with a small table, distance about 12 meters to the backyard. And sometimes occasionally I'm walking closer to the stage where the musicians playing their music just to take some pictures and then go back to my table. I see lots of people really enjoy the atmosphere and seems like they were carried away by the strains of jazz music, but many others keep remain on their own pleasure, making jokes and laughs. But for me, what I really enjoyed is my coffee with cream, cakes, and my drawing book.

Public lecture and film discuss ( "The Success Ways of Making Documentary Films" )

Today we were organizing a public lecture and film discuss for Audio Visual studies that destined for students of Visual Communication of Design – Indonesian Computer University where I’m teaching now. This public lecture is about to examine "The Success Ways of Making Documentary Films", it's presenting Mr. IGP Wiranegara ( a documentary filmmaker and director ) as a speaker. Mr. IGP Wiranegara is an experience director who has won “CITRA” trophy award 2005 ( a documentary film category ), For his documentary movie "Pakubowono XII, struggle for an existence".

The experiences and production process which he shared is a very useful and could help the students in their film production’s tasks this semester. This can be seen from their enthusiastic in asking many questions and keep following Mr. Wiranegara’s film screening until this event is over.

We feel very lucky and happy that the students having so much learning, get lots of inputs, and gaining valuable experience from Mr. Wiranegara’s career and works stories. It could open the student’s insight about the potency of a simple camera and its strength to drive the social change and delivering the messages.

So therefore I conclude that today is a very useful day, and with camera in the hand of the students in the future, hopefully we’ll be able to see the new remarkable documentary film, honest, creative, and describe what actually happens in this world and inspire many people to change the world.
